Programmable DC Power Supplies

The next generation (xGen) SLx Series delivers 1.5 to 10 kW of programmable DC power in a 1U rack-mount platform with six power levels, 171 models, and over 26,500 configurations from 5 to 3000 V and up to 600 A for finely tuned system requirements. A high-efficiency current-fed topology with SiC devices, MagnaLINK™ distributed digital control, and extensive industrial communication and user I/O options reduces thermal, control, and networking overhead, simplifying integration into demanding ATE, automation, and process control systems.

The SL Series packs 1.5 to 10 kW of programmable DC power into an ultra-compact 1U rack-mount footprint, ideal for dense ATE and OEM racks. With 127 models spanning 5 to 1500 V and 1.5 to 250 A, the SL Series is designed to address a wide range of applications. High-efficiency thermal design and UL/CSA, CE Mark, and NRTL safety listings minimize cooling and certification overhead, streamlining system integration.

The 2U XR Series complements the 1U SL Series by providing high voltage (greater than 1500 Vdc) and high current (greater than 250 Adc) models in a 2U package at 2 kW, 4 kW, 6 kW, 8 kW, and 10 kW. The XR Series features the highest voltage range in Magna-Power's product offering, up to 10,000 Vdc and high current models up to 600 Adc, all utilizing the company's signature current-fed power processing to deliver robust power conversion.

The TS Series delivers 5 to 100 kW of programmable DC power in rugged 3U to 16U rack-mount enclosures, with 279 models spanning 5 to 6000 V and 1.2 to 10,000 A to support a very broad range of application. High-reliability current-fed power processing, high-accuracy programming and measurement, and standard isolated 37-pin user I/O with computer controls—plus options like water cooling and integrated blocking diode—streamline integration into large ATE racks, research, and industrial process power systems.

The MT Series delivers 150 to 250 kW of programmable DC power per floor-standing cabinet, using high-frequency IGBT current-fed power processing and integrated AC input breakers for robust, high-power conversion. Systems scale into the multi-megawatt range via UID47 master-slave control, while embedded 12-pulse harmonic neutralizers on 250 kW models—and optional 24- or 48-pulse external neutralizers—minimize THD to meet demanding power-quality requirements in large test bays, drives, and renewable-energy emulation.

The ML Series delivers 500 and 1,000 kW of programmable DC power in compact water-cooled floor-standing systems that achieve nearly four times the power density of comparable air-cooled designs, freeing valuable space in high-power labs and test cells. Built on Magna-Power’s current-fed power processing with integrated harmonic neutralizers and 12-bit precision control, ML Series systems scale beyond 10 MW with low THD and robust master-slave operation.
